The annual Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action and Diversity Awards Program honors staff, faculty, students, departments, and organizational units or groups that make outstanding contributions in the areas of equal opportunity, affirmative action, diversity, and the UCSD Principles of Community during the year.

Qualities of a Diversity Champion:
  • Celebrates cultural differences
  • Promotes fairness at UC San Diego
  • Makes UCSD a better place to work or learn
  • Demonstrates exemplary support of the UCSD Principles of Community
Nominations for the 2011 award are now being accepted through Friday, November 30, 2012. All members of the UCSD community are encouraged to nominate or endorse colleagues who deserve the title, Diversity Champion.
