Nomination Criteria

Individuals or groups who have demonstrated support by making significant contributions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion and for their strong commitment to the UC San Diego Principles of Community during the past 12 months in one or more of the following categories:
- * Advancing Diversity – Demonstrates active efforts to promote inclusion of varied personal experiences, values, and worldviews across differences of culture and circumstance.
- * Expanding Access – Contributes to removing barriers and ensuring equitable opportunities, and reducing systemic and procedural barriers to access and opportunity at UC San Diego.
- * Fostering Excellence – Shows how diversity enriches educational or scholarly environments, enhancing creativity, innovation, and academic achievement.
- * Cultivating Respect – Models respectful and civil communication that strengthens community bonds and supports pluralism.
- * Supporting Opportunity – Actively recognizes and nurtures talent through programs, practices, or leadership that sustain equal opportunity.
- * Expanding Impact – Highlights local, national, or global influence of their efforts to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion.
